Sperzel’s selection of buttons for their Locking Guitar Tuners is certainly small. There are currently 4 types of Sperzel Buttons which is nothing in comparison to Hipshot, for example, who have 11 different options!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that what Sperzel offer is poor because that simply isn’t the case – all of their buttons have a classic look and feel to them that suits their style of machine head. However, for many guitarists upgrading their tuners, it isn’t always just about functionality but also for aesthetics. Having the option to personalise sets of tuners with a different button type can make all the difference.
You’ll be pleased to hear then that Sperzel are now offering a new style of button for their Locking Guitar Tuners. These Sperzel Buttons have just recently been released and they kindly sent over a few photos of them for me to take a look at.

OK, so they haven’t come out with a ton of new options but it’s certainly a step in right direction.
This new style is not replacing the current button that comes as standard with the 3+3 Tuners. Sperzel are just offering this as another option for those who want something a bit different.
And they certainly are different!
