Yamaha Revstar Parts

Lately, I’ve seen a real increase in the amount of people getting in contact about parts and spares for Yamaha instruments. It’s mainly been BB and TRB basses with the odd guitar part here and there. This morning however I had an enquiry for a wrap-around bridge and volume & tone controls for a Yamaha Revstar…

“Drawing inspiration from London and Tokyo’s vintage street-racing motorbikes, Japan’s heritage of engineering excellence, and Yamaha’s 50-year legacy of guitar craftsmanship, every detail of each Revstar model been carefully engineered to bring out the unique personality of each guitar in the lineup. From the curves and contours of the ground-up body design to the distinctive colors and finishes and custom-wound pickups that perfectly match the guitar’s character, the Revstar collection comprises a diverse lineup of instruments as unique as the guitarists who play them. This is Revstar—meet your other half.” – YAMAHA

It surprised me that he was asking for a replacement bridge. This model is Yamaha’s newest release so his guitar will only be a few years old at most. Apparently his Revstar is an ex-display/demo model and was previously used at a NAMM show. It’s guaranteed that the customer’s Revstar was well played at the show!

The great thing is that the Yamaha Revstar guitars are really simple to sort out parts for. The Revstar’s technical drawings are readily available and so finding the correct part numbers was easy. Because the Revstar is a current model, all of the parts are still in production. I can imagine Yamaha are producing a huge amount of parts for the Revstars! In any case, availability was/is definitely not an issue with these parts.
