A new set of buttons for your Grover is a quick upgrade anyone can do.
Most machine head manufactures supply multiple button types that are interchangeable with their tuner offering.
There are genuine Grover replacements available, but these can be quite expensive.
Hipshot buttons are a great alternative: they are cheaper, have a greater variety of button shapes, and fit perfectly.
Fitting them is simple:
- Unscrew the existing button from the tuning key post
- Pull off the button
- Attach the new button
- Replace the screw and tighten
