OK, starting the year with introducing clip on guitar tuners to our catalogue wasn’t what I had in mind. I was really hoping for something a bit more exciting. And I know what you are thinking – why would BTN Music, a guitar parts company, start stocking headstock tuners? Let me explain…

One 2019 goal of mine is to improve on the variety of products BTN Music offers. Even though it’s guitar parts that we specialise in, I feel that a more rounded product catalogue is needed. So that means more electronic components, tools and accessories. And little by little, over the next year, I’ll be introducing more brands and products to meet that goal. As I said in my last post, there are a number of products coming in this month from various suppliers. Some are guitar parts. Some are not. Headstock tuners is one of those products.

SNARK wasn’t really on my radar. I came across them through JHS, the UK distributor for SNARK, and I liked the look of them. I’ve been picking up GuitarTech and GraphTech products regularly from JHS so it made sense to add a handful of the headstock tuners to one of my orders.

SNARK are a fairly well known brand and offer quality (as much as a headstock tuners can be), reasonably priced units. I’ll admit, they do kind of go against what I do at BTN Music UK – we are a specialist company and so we’d usually leave headstock tuners to the more “traditional” music shops. But with our website growing rapidly and the shop becoming busier and busier, I’ve had customers ask or search for headstock tuners – I have had to get them in. Plus, my accessories section on the website is small and definitely needs filling out. I guess I’ll just have to see how they do.
